South Park’s new episode
The indie rapper, Continental Five’s new record featured on South Park’s new episode to start off their new season. This is the first time South Park has used an independent release for one of their episodes. This will be a great door opener for more independent artist in Network Television and bigger platforms.
Born and Raised in South Jamaica Queens, NY Michael Francis A.K.A Continental Five. He is the oldest of two boys with dreams of being something. Unfortunately, Southside Jamaica Queens isn’t always open to fulfilling the dreams of its residents. Being so close that they were often mistaken for brothers, Michael looked to his older cousin; 50 Cent as a role model. Michael stayed close to his cousin and learned so much by the moves he made. One move would end up changing his life from that day forward.
Continental Five began his grind in the NYC underground hip-hop scene under the moniker – Two five. This was a nickname given to him in jest by Tony Yayo. Slowly, he built a name and reputation for himself with his gritty style of freestyle rap. In early 2007 DJ Whiteowl decided to reach out to the rapper in hopes that he would host a mixtape for him. Continental Five has consistently gained momentum in the underground scene. In which, DJ Whiteowl thought he would be a good fit for his series of mixtapes. The two released five successful mixtapes that expanded his growing underground following. Also, it landed him a nomination at the Justo mixtape awards. Together they have sold and distributed over 70,000 CDs.
