International Artists, Ed Geater and Lady Sanity team up on single, “Found A Place”
‘Found A Place’ is a new single from Birmingham’s resident loop station master, Ed Geater. Two of Birmingham’s finest up-and-coming talents join forces to produce this piece of cerebral and powerful hip-hop as the first release on new Birmingham record label, Brox Records. This track combines Ed’s guitar layering and beatboxing skills with thought provoking, intelligent lyrics provided by featuring artist, Lady Sanity.

About Ed:
For Birmingham-born singer-songwriter and beatboxer Ed Geater, rhythmical dexterity is complemented by lyrical prowess. Growing up on a staple musical diet of alternative rock, folk, and electronica, equally matching his love of classical music, Ed switched his primary childhood instrument from violin to guitar and pursued his love of songwriting, whilst harnessing his metronomic skills as a beatboxer.
Influenced by his obsession with ambient electronic artists such as Bonobo, Boards of Canada and Four Tet – Ed set out to master the same vivid and textural musical landscapes. Skillfully, it was created with his organic vocal beats, acoustic guitar and loop station. Whilst Ed creates this sound completely authentically live, without any sampling, when producing in the studio he is not afraid to weave in layers of sonic textures and bass lines into his acoustic arrangements, adding depth and richness to the end product.
This is only the beginning of an exciting journey as a signed artist, the year has served as a period of real growth for Ed Geater. Momentum is being firmly established behind this uniquely talented musician as he moves forward into 2017 and beyond.
About Lady Sanity:
Hailing from Birmingham, Lady Sanity is a twenty-two-year-old female MC with a message. Her musical interests developed in her teenage years, when she began teaching herself how to play the guitar. The young Lady Sanity enjoyed exploring music technology and songwriting. The desire to become an empowering female emcee led her to network worldwide with producers, rappers, and singers over the Internet. In 2014, positive responses to her debut mix-tape, Construction, and support from the BBC encouraged the rapper to establish herself further in the music industry. Since performing at ‘A night of new music with 6 Music’s Tom Robinson’, ahead of the BBC Music Awards in Birmingham, she has released two EP’s; ‘Summer in September’ and most recently ‘The Graduate’. With musical interest originating from multiple genres, her inspiration is never ending; with influences from the greats like Lauryn Hill, MC Lyte and Missy Elliot.
The new era of real female emcee’s are back, and Lady Sanity is one to watch for- rising on the rap scene.
