Opening for Maze ft. Frankie Beverly, Iman performed an abbreviated set of 2 songs, Erykah Badu’s “Bag Lady” and her own composition, “High Tonight”.  She left the crowd chanting the chorus, “Westside is the best side”.

Iman, a bi-coastal singer/rapper/songwriter was born in New York and raised in Los Angeles.  Her blend of smooth, soulful sounds of the West Coast coupled with the rugged, reality raps of the East Coast is creating her own unique fusion called Psychedelic Soul, Trip-Hop.

This gorgeous beauty standing at 5’11” is an independent LA-based soul/hip hop artist who has been steadily building a fan base across the globe. In early 2015, while still living in NYC, she released the dark and gritty ‘Caterpillar EP‘. By the summer of 2016, creative opportunities brought her back to her hometown of Los Angeles where she released her ‘Hello, Mellow‘ EP. Many milestones and collaborations assured her that the move was the right choice for the development of her career. Currently, Iman is finishing her soul-infused project titled ‘Cocoon”. With a focus on growth and self-evolution, Iman is taking her listeners through her life journey of becoming a butterfly.
