East Coast Recording Artist, Rum•Gold releases latest single, “Get Through” from forthcoming EP
Brooklyn, NYC-based singer-songwriter Rum•Gold gears up for the release of debut 2019 EP “yaRn”, with another gem of a single Get Through. This is the third official single produced by James Chatburn. The astounding talent broke out in June, premiering 2-single debut Where There’s Smoke / Cashmere Cage via Pigeons & Planes, along with an introductory interview.
“Get Through” is a self-revelation. It’s about finding that vice to get through a hard place, while also understanding that you wouldn’t be who you are today without going through said hardship. It’s about learning to understand that contradiction is natural and if allowed can be incredibly freeing
In “Get Through,” Rum•Gold’s delicate, infinitely rich vibrato-filled voice carries an unfathomable beauty. There is a depth of melody and soul within his songs that is best described as transcendent, with intimate, honest lyricism and featuring himself on trumpet – blending acoustic sounds with minimal R&B textures while ethereal vocals float seamlessly over J. Dilla-esque drums.
