Chinua Thompson, popularly known by his stage name, Bluechew is a phenomenal Hip-Hop artist. Born and raised in the Borinquen Plaza Housing Section of Williamsburg Brooklyn, the hip-hop artist was raised by a single mother of five. At age 13, Bluechew was placed in a temporary foster care home for a couple of years in East New York Brooklyn.

By 16, Bluechew came back to his hometown, Borinquen Plaza House. On his arrival, he found out that his father had been killed by a gunshot wound to the headThis circumstance got to him, and he turned his life to the streets. Consequently, he was caught up with a history of being charged with Felony charges including possession of narcotics intent to sell and three gun charges with other friends. Bluechew figured he needed a way out of the streets and later realized that those things weren’t working out as planned. He was inspired and started recording music to see if he could find something positive out of it.

BlueChewBluechew started taking his songs to New York clubs were some DJs. At the time, these DJs wouldn’t even accept his flash drive from him. He pressed on until he got his chance one night at a strip club, Brooklyn New York from a DJ, DJ Sir many. Bluechew asked the DJ to play his debut single titled, “Get to the bag.” Everything was falling in place for him as Power 105.1’s DjSelf was inside the club around the bar heard Bluechew’s Get to the Bag track. DJSelf asked to speak witBluechew. He told him how incredible his song was and wanted to play it on the radio station. DjSelf played his track repeatedly for weeks. This was when the Hip-Hop artist, Bluechew started creating a Buzz for himself. As he began to rise in fame and appeal, his confidence also rose as he started believing in his music.

Bluechew has just released a follow-up single called, “Just cut the check for me,” a high energy club banger with a “Meek Mill” kind of feel. Bluechew is a high volume rapper with pure versatility. The world should look out for this artist as he is on the verge of breaking grounds with major attention and promotion.
