Arista Records, R&B singer-songwriter NBDY starts the new year off with an irresistible song, “Admissions”
The newly signed artist, NBDY (pronounced “Nobody”) and his debut single “Admissions” are making a mark on the world wide web. The record is serene, yet reverent with lyrics grown, slurry and identifiable by everyone living in a moment of time in their feelings.
“The song came from a place in my past that crippled me for so long. It was my first heartbreak. I wanted to take the listener back to that moment explicitly giving them the full experience,” explains NBDY.
NBDY presents a uniquely multi-faceted R&B style using sensory elements in both his lyrical choosings and melodies, weaving together his sonic influences and inspiration from his musical family. The New Jersey native’s Great Grandfather was an underground jazz musician. Also, he taught his Grandfather the craft and would host the likes of legend Sarah Vaughan at his home for jazz lessons. NBDY’s father signed with Sony after befriending Wyclef Jean. Rounding out his musical household is NBDY’s mother who is a talented singer in her own right. In addition to that his Great Aunt, jazz singer Honi Gordon worked with the legendary Duke Ellington.
