Atlanta’s own Semy Patron drops visual to his latest
single, Darker”
Randall Shelton aka “Semy Patron” was raised in Orchard Park projects in Boston, Mass. He moved to Atlanta GA at the age of 5. Semy grew up in a family of musicians – his uncle is Ralph Tresvant (Former New Edition Member) & his first cousin is David Shelton (Former Another Bad Creation Member). Because of those influences, Semy began writing to articulate his craft.
Although drawing is one of Semy’s biggest hobbies, he always found himself feeling more comfortable with expressing his feelings with music. It allowed him to paint a different picture with words that describe his life & moments. The kind of emotions he wanted to share with the world.
“You have to express your emotions in a sense, so the people can feel what your actually saying”
Semy always grew up in the stuffiest neighborhoods and hung around kids that were considered nerds, geeks or outcasts. He seemed to attract those kinds because he was a people person & learned from everybody around him.
In this industry, it is very important to have your own sound. Semy Patron designed his own and calls it “ZOOTED.” It is best described as an unknown feeling, you would have if you ever heard his music. It’s a combination of wicked vocabulary, a unique style of singing along with his appearance & performance. He wants the world to remember him as someone who embraces being different.
“If I ever had a word that describes me [Semy], it would be “erudite” meaning “having or showing great knowledge or learning.”.
Trust and believe – Semy Patron has the skill set, the talent, and the voice to become the next big memorable artist -there’s no denying that.
